Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup steel-cut oats (not quick oats)

  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter

  • 4 cups of milk of choice used vanilla almond milk

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 of maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

    Instructions

  • Combine the steel-cut oats and butter in the slow cooker. Stir until the oats are coated with the butter. Add the milk, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt.

  • Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2.

  • Stir the chopped apple into the oatmeal.

  • Scoop into four serving bowls and serve with a drizzle of honey or syrup and add a little cinnamon.

    Feel free to add raisins, pecans, and frozen blueberries for even more variety!
