Lazy morning crockpot apple cinnamon oatmeal
Crockpot Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
INGREDIENTS
1 cup steel-cut oats (not quick oats)
2 tablespoons of melted butter
4 cups of milk of choice used vanilla almond milk
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 of maple syrup
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Combine the steel-cut oats and butter in the slow cooker. Stir until the oats are coated with the butter. Add the milk, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2.
Stir the chopped apple into the oatmeal.
Scoop into four serving bowls and serve with a drizzle of honey or syrup and add a little cinnamon.
Feel free to add raisins, pecans, and frozen blueberries for even more variety!
