Crowd Pleaser Strawberry Pretzel Salad

INGREDIENTS

THE CRUST

  • 3 1/2 cups pretzel sticks (crush them in a ziplock bag)

  • 3 TBS of sugar

  • 1 cup of melted butter

    THE FILLING

  • One 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 8 oz. Cool Whip topping, thawed

    THE TOPPING

  • 1 pound strawberries, stems removed + sliced

  • 2 cups water

  • Two 3 oz. boxes strawberry jello

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and lightly grease a 13 x 9” baking dish.

  2. Combine crushed pretzels, sugar, and melted butter in a medium bowl and stir. Press the crust into the baking dish and bake for 8- 10 minutes. Set aside and let cool.

  3. In a bowl, use a hand mixer and together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Spread this filling over the cooled crust. Refrigerate until chilled.

  4. Boil water and sprinkle in strawberry jello. and mix until dissolved. Stir in the sliced strawberries and chill until partially set.

  5. Pour the jello mixture over the top and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.

    Then enjoy!
